Jef comes to change the license plate and to get a gun – 118 Rue de Saint-Antoine, Montreuil, Ile-de-France, France. The old garage was demolished some time after 2012, and a new building with a garage stands on the spot now.

Jef comes to a card game to provide himself with an alibi – 6 Boulevard de Rochechouart, Paris, France. The hotel is no longer there, and the Tati stores occupy the entire block now. Melville used the same hotel in his L'aîné des Ferchaux four years earlier.

Jef gets rid of the gun – Pont Alexandre III, Paris, France.

Jef exits the police headquarters – 36 Quai des Orfèvres, Paris, France. The legendary hub of criminal investigation, often referred to as "the 36", will soon move to a new building in the Batignolles district in the 17th arrondissement. The move is scheduled for 2017.

Jef dodges the police using a building with two exits – 3 Rue Lord Byron, Paris, France. The film has No 1 posted on the door but it’s now changed to No 3.

Jef emerges from a different exit – 116Bis Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris, France. It’s located next to the famous Lido.

Jef ducks into the George V metro station, Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris, France.

Jef makes a transfer at the Palais Royal metro station, Paris, France.

Jef exits the metro – Porte d'Ivry metro station, Boulevard Masséna, Paris, France.

Jef goes in and out of a railway station – Rue Regnault at Rue du Loiret, Paris, France. The station is no longer in use and the building stands abandoned.

Jef escapes an assassination attempt – the footbridge above the railroad tracks along the Boulevard Masséna that used to connect the Rue du Loiret and Rue de la Croix Jarry. The bridge no longer exists.

Jef's apartment – 1 Impasse des Rigaunes, Paris, France.

Jef comes to a bar to make a phone call – 265 Rue de Belleville, Paris, France. The building has since been demolished.

Jef crosses the street – Rue de Belleville, Paris, France. This section of the street has been redeveloped and is no longer recognizable.

Jef goes into the Télégraphe metro station, Rue de Belleville, Paris, France.

The police dispatch a car to the Jourdain metro station, Rue de Belleville, Paris, France. The church is the neogothic Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-Belleville.

    118 bis, rue de Saint-Antoine / Montreuil. Until 2016 il looked nearly looked like it does 50 years ago. Greets :-)
