The disastrous premiere of Ed Wood's (Johnny Depp) play The Casual CompanyTheatre/Theater, 1713 Cahuenga Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. The theater has been demolished, and the new Greyhound bus station stands in its place.

The Brown Derby – the long gone original Derby on Wilshire Boulevard was recreated on the grounds of the Ambassador Hotel at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard, now also demolished.

The Bride of the Monster premiere - 1653 Cravens Avenue, Torrance, California. This was called the Stadium Theatre from 1949 to 1968, then it became the Pussycat until its closing in 1991. It stood unused, except by occasional film crews, and was torn down in 2002.

Wood’s second apartment – 6383 Yucca Street, Los Angeles, California. Ed Wood actually lived at this address in his later years and was evicted for not paying the rent. Wood and his wife moved into his friend’s apartment in North Hollywood, where he died shortly afterwards.

  1. Some of the Larchmont Studios was shot at 1633 Cosmo, the Glen Or Glenda shop was at 5642 Hollywood Blvd.

    2. Not yet, the east and west side of the Cosmo building were used, but the other Larchmont stuff was shot somewhere else.

  5. As it turns out, I find myself here looking for information on what my father was doing with regard to Ed Wood in the 1960’s. He definitely knew the man I’ve heard he had loaned $ to for a project. Hmmmm
