Alvy's (Woody Allen) childhood home in Brooklyn - the historic Kensington Hotel under the famous roller coaster Thunderbolt at Coney Island. The roller coaster was closed in 1983 and was demolished in 2000 along with the house. The site remains vacant, next to the new KeySpan Park.

Alvy is walking down the street with his friend Rob (Tony Roberts) - East 66th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, New York, New York

Alvy is approached by two annoying fans while waiting for Annie - Beekman Theater, 1254 2nd Avenue, New York, New York. The theater was demolished in 2005, to make way for a new breast cancer research center.

Alvy puts down a snob by conjuring Marshall MacLuhan out of the thin air - The New Yorker Theater, 2409 Broadway, New York, New York. The theater was demolished in the early 1980s.

When Annie rejects his proposal, Alvy vents his frustration at the adjacent parking lot.

Alvy is released from prison - Old Venice Police Station, 685 Venice Boulevard, Venice, California

Alvy bumps into Annie who has dragged her new boyfriend to see The Sorrow and the Pity - Thalia Theater, 250 W. 95th Street, New York, New York. The old theater has been incorporated into a newly redesigned concert complex.

Annie and Alvy parting ways - 63rd Street at Columbus Avenue, New York, New York. This was shot from a restaurant then called O'Neal's Balloon, and it's P.J. Clarke's.

  1. The "Walking along the beach - The Hamptons, Long Island, New York" photo was actually from filming on a private beach in Glen Cove, NY on the north shore of Nassau County.

    It's always bugged me that leaves in full summer bloom are shown in front of what is supposed to be Annie's girlhood house in Wisconsin. They're there for Easter. Anyone who has been to Wisconsin in April knows that the trees don't look like that then....
