  1. spent many a summer at pound ridge preservation ,esp on micagin road ,the house in the movie was aka the gem /diamond house during a lsd fueled nite either summer of 71 or 72, O WAT A NITE,LOL

  2. There seems to be a error according "Klaus Szell's car stalls – East 86th Street at 2nd Avenue". Correct is East 89th Street at 2nd Avenue and the intersection looks actual nearly unchanged.
    I wasn't there (I am from Germany) but checked with Google Earth convinced me.

    Still watch it regularly, and because of that movie I ran my first New York marathon in 93’ best part of the weekend was running around the lake in Central Park, great movie great memories ,thanks again

  5. Yes. Elsa’s apartment building was so old, funky, and beautiful. It has been totally ruined. All of its character is gone. 😢
