Three Days of the Condor (1975)

The CIA "cleaning team" leaving the base – 539 W 16th Street, New York, New York

Joe running away – Central Park, New York, New York.

The CIA New York Office – World Trade Center, New York, New York. The original World Trade Center was destroyed in the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. The site was rebuilt with five new skyscrapers and a memorial to the victims of the attacks. One World Trade Center opened in October 2014. It is the tallest building in the U.S., and already a recognizable New York landmark.

Joe buys a pretzel – Columbus Circle at W 59th Street, New York, New York.

Heidegger's apartment – 20 W 71st Street, New York, New York.

Joe calls the CIA again – Riverside Drive at W 122nd Street, New York, New York.

Joe meeting with his friend Sam and his department head Wicks – The alley is located between the Ansonia and the building at 251 W 73rd Street, New York, New York.

Joe runs after Wicks had tried to kill him in the alley – Broadway at W 75th Street, New York, New York.

The store where Joe encounters Kathy Hale (Faye Dunaway) – 2150 Broadway, New York, New York. This section of the street has been rebuilt, and the store is no longer there.

Deputy Director of the CIA's New York division Higgins (Cliff Robertson) arrives in Langley – New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, Long Island, New York.

Freelance assassin Joubert (Max Von Sydow) arrives in Washington, DC – Ronald Reagan National Airport, Washington, DC.

Katy's apartment – 9 Cranberry Street, Brooklyn, New York, New York.

Joubert talking with Leonard Atwood (Addison Powell), CIA Deputy Director of Operations for the Middle East – Arlington Memorial Bridge, Washington, DC.

Joe goes to his friend Sam's apartment – Stuyvesant Town–Peter Cooper Village, New York, New York, still searching for the exact location.

Joe and Katy driving to Manhattan to meet with Higgins – Brooklyn Bridge, New York, New York.

Katy accosts Higgins at a restaurant – McCoy’s (now Bullpen), 20 Maiden Lane, New York, New York.

Joe abducts Higgins – Liberty Place, New York, New York.

Joe confronts Higgins on the shore – Wards Island near Wards Island Bridge, New York, New York.

Joe pulls to a gas station – E 60th Street at 1st Avenue, New York, New York. The station is no longer there, replaced with a small plaza.

Joubert's hotel – Holiday Inn, 440 W 57th Street, New York, New York.

The New York Telephone Building – 240 E 38th Street, New York, New York.

Joe says goodbye to Katy – Hoboken Terminal, 1 Hudson Place, Hoboken, New Jersey.

Atwood's house in 'Chevy Chase, Maryland' – Still searching for this location, it’s somewhere on Long Island's North Shore.

Joe meeting with Higgins – 7th Avenue at W 43rd Street, New York, New York.

Joe tells Higgins that he had given his story to the New York Times – 207-211 W 43rd Street, New York, New York. The newspaper had its headquarters at 229 W 43rd Street until 2007, when they moved their office to 620 8th Avenue.

  2. According to the link, the unknown house on LI is the De Seversky mansion. TDoTC is one of my favorite movies. Great job posting the locations.

  8. I watch 3 Days of the Condor every November (like Kathryn's photos). Today is my day. I eat a pretzel while I watch (scene as Joe is ru ning away). So happy there r other Condorphiles out there! Been to Cranberry St. In Brooklyn. Vibey!

  9. Did they use the Beaux Arts house for any of the interiors, say the lobby shots, or were all interiors sound stage sets?
