The source material, the original British 6 part, 5 hour mini series from 2003 made it a thankless task to try and squeeze it all into 2 hours. Brad Pitt was originally interested in playing Cal McAffrey but decided against it as he felt it was impossible to do justice to the original. I think he was right.<br /><br />But I have a question. The initial scenes show Deshaun Stagg running from Wisconsin Avenue to where he was shot on Water Street under the Key Bridge. Along the way he briefly passes a large white columned building (1:25 in the film) which is obviously not in Georgetown.<br /><br />Do you know the building? It annoys the hell out of me every time I watch this film.
